Our Rooms

The Main Room

The largest room in the retreat home is the main area which is over 500 square feet and dedicated for the use of weekend retreat guests. This elegantly appointed room boasts custom built coffered ceilings and a mirrored wall surrounded by beautiful moulding. Nine recessed lights provide daylight lighting ideal for scrapbooking. The overhead surround sound speaker system is connected to the digital stereo receiver equipped with an iPod docking station where guests are welcome to listen to their favorite music playlists.

A centrally located 42" LED TV equipped with access to over 1000 popular TV shows, movies, and music stations is available for use in the main room. The plasma TV is connected to the digital stereo receiver for surround sound enjoyment.

Each guest is treated to their own six-foot long table which provides a spacious area to freely create their projects. Guests are provided with comfortable leather task chairs which easily move on casters as they work at the tables. Each table is also equipped with a daylight lamp for detail work and a power strip to conveniently connect laptops or other electronic devices.

Separate tool areas and a computer station is available within the main room.

A computer workstation is equipped with a desktop computer with high-speed Internet access. The computer is installed with the Cricut Craft Room Software which is connected to a Cricut Expression. A library of 34 Cricut cartridges and another Cricut Expression are available for use in the main room.

The Stamping Area

Located just a few steps away from the main room, the stamping area is home to the following tools:

  • ~ Complete line of 48 dye ink stamp pads from Stampin' Up
  • ~ An assortment of rubber stamps and clear acrylic stamps from many major manufacturers such as Stampin' Up, 7 Gypsies, Autumn Leaves, Heidi Swapp, Hero Arts, Inkadinkado, Making Memories, Plaid, and more.
  • ~ Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and an assortment of Sizzix Die
La Chambre Bleue (The Blue Room)

This room sleeps 2 guests, and the calming blue and green hues of this room invite guests to find rest after a long day of cropping. This downstairs bedroom has its own private bathroom and is perfect for guests who desire to have a room without having to climb the stairs. The full bathroom downstairs, and attached to the Blue Room, is equipped with a shower, vanity, and toilet.

La Chambre deJillian (The Jack & Jill Room I)

Spacious enough to accomodate two guests, this room is decorated in tranquil hues of amethyst and beige.

This room's unique feature is that it shares a bathroom with the Jack room. However, it has its own private mirrored vanity and sink area.


La Chambre de Jacques (The Jack & Jill Room II))

Adjacent to the Jill Room above, the Jack room shares the serene amethyst and beige colors of the Jill Room as well as the full bathroom located between them. The full bathroom is equipped with a shower and toilet.


Le Chambre de Chocolat (The Chocolate Room)

The rich hues of this room, which accomodates two guests, reminds us of the pleasures of sweet chocolate covered strawberries. This room has French doors leading to a balcony where guests are welcome to enjoy the fresh valley air.

The upstairs bathroom is across the hall from the Chocolate Room and is equipped with a full-sized tub, showerhead, and toilet.

The Living Room

Furnished with a stylish, traditional sofa, a pair of armchairs, coffee table, and end tables with lamps, guests may use this room to take a moment to enjoy reading many of the available scrapbooking magazines and books in our collection.

The living room is home to a 42" Plasma Flat Screen TV, DVD player, and VHS player. A reclining chair and a gliding chair are also located in the living room for our guests' enjoyment.

The Dining Room

This room is adjacent to the living room and has a large dining table that can seat eight people.
Guests can enjoy meals together here with their friends while taking a break from scrapbooking.


The Butler's Pantry

Connecting the formal dining room to the kitchen, this area is home to the snack bar.


The Kitchen

A fully equipped kitchen featuring new appliances is available for use by all guests at the Scrap Retreat House. Guests are welcome to prepare their own meals using the five sealed burner cooktop, oven, and microwave. A coffee maker is also available for the guests' drinking pleasure.

A computer workstation is equipped with a desktop computer with WiFi Internet access. This computer is also equipped with a Cricut Expression machine and operates with Cricut Design Studio. A courtesy 10.1" Nook Tablet is available for our guests to use for Internet access throughout the retreat house.

The Foyer

This is the view to which guests are welcomed upon entering the Scrap Retreat House. The durable, rich-colored hardwood flooring invites each guest to follow it down to the main room as well as flowing to the adjacent living room and dining room areas near the entry.


The Powder Room

The powder room downstairs is conveniently located next to the kitchen and main room.

This room's unique feature is that it shares a bathroom with the Jack room. However, it has its own private mirrored vanity and sink area.
